"I'm nervous to start my new job"

Q. "I’m about it start and new job. It’s similar to my last one but I’m still really nervous for it. Any advice to feel more confident?"

A. Dear Tanya,
Of course you’re nervous. You’re not a sociopath. Starting a new job and being the newbie anywhere is always anxiety inducing.
But focus on the main thing — you’ve done this before. You've been hired to do it again. Clearly you know what you're doing or you're good enough at fooling people into thinking you do. Either way, you're winning. You’ve survived capitalism at least once already, you can do it again. You know how to smile through mild existential dread, how to nod through boring meetings hosted by narcissists that love to talk when clearly it could have been an email, and you know how to pretend the coffee is drinkable and that your colleagues are tolerable.

This is just Season 2. You've got this.
Confidence isn’t about feeling ready. It’s about faking it so hard you accidentally become it.

Alternatively, I heard from the junkie on the block that a nice confidence boost can be obtained from a little bit of white powder. Just saying....
Either way, let me know how it goes.

Good luck and sending you Psychotic Blessings xo
